Developing a Binder Jet 3D Printer for Educational Interventions
The goal of this project was to design a binder jet 3D printer for use in an educational program targeted to students in grades 9-12, and to create supplemental resources for the build process and process-explanation of binder jet printing.
This project resulted in the completed base frame for a full scale binder jet printer, a completed demo printer, a video detailing the process of making the demo printer, an educational video about binder jet printing for K-5 students, and an additional video about binder jet printing for middle school and high school students. These materials will be used for a variety of educational programs run by our project sponsor. The full scale binder jet printer will continue to be developed by future teams.
